Hi dear Mike,

I also tried the new version and encountered with the errors 400 and 503 each time. Would you please inform how does it work and also how the output expected to be from Mendeley?

Hi Zohreh,
The program should work now, but you have to be careful to register your Azure key - please see the instructions here and how to test your key at a web page. http://lexiurl.wlv.ac.uk/searcher/AzureKey.html
It is important to register the key and this takes two steps.
There is a help page on Mendeley here
http://lexiurl.wlv.ac.uk/searcher/mendeley.htm
but no information about the results, sorry. Please could you try running it with a few queries to see what the results give you? This is probably better than me explaining it. Good luck!
Best wishes,
Mike

Hi Mike,

Thank you for your attention. I followed the instructions again but it seems that the key does not work well unfortunately since nothing appears on the screen except the username and password box again and again.

the following message appears:

"The authorization type you provided is not supported. Only Basic and OAuth are supported"

Hi Zohreh,
Please can you tell me exactly what you did - which buttons you pressed and the file that you entered, if any? I will try to see what the problem is.
Best wishes,
Mike

Dear Mike,

As instructed in the manual, when i test the key and enter the key in the password box, nothing appears except the username and password box and the previous message.

Does it mean that the key does not work properly or something else?

Thanks,
Zohre

Hi Zohreh,
Yes this suggests that your user name and password do not work. Please can you try to repeat the instructions with a different email address to set up a new user name and password?
Best wishes,
Mike

Hi Mike, I would like to use the Webometric Analyst in my research in a project at my university. I am not a very experienced user yet, trying to learn now how to do things, and I have got the key for that with the 5000 queries per month limit. This is too low a limit already for this learning phase, lots of trials and errors, and I would like to continue. Is it possible to get an unlimited license for my strictly non-commercial purposes? Best, Sarolta

Dear Sarolta

I am really sorry but Microsoft gives out the keys and I have no influence with them. Instead you could ask a friend to sign up for a key and lend you their key or run the searches for you? This would give you an extra 5,000.

Best wishes,

Mike
